This policy explains what data we collect and what we do with it. We're not going to bury the important stuff in legal jargon. If you have questions, email privacy@tryme.com.
Name, email address, and a password. If you're a candidate, we also collect professional information like your experience, skills, and portfolio links. If you're a company, we collect business name, website, and team member information.
For candidates: your application materials, cover letters, and any responses to screening questions. For companies: role details, project descriptions, and compensation information.
Communication between candidates and companies goes through our platform. We store messages, check-in notes, and evaluation information to facilitate the trial process and handle any disputes.
Payment details are processed by Stripe—we don't store your card number or bank account details. We do keep records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes.
Basic analytics: what pages you visit, how you found us, what browser you're using. We use this to improve the site, not to build a profile on you.
Your information is used to:
When you apply to a trial role, the company sees your profile, application, and any materials you submit. If you're selected for a trial, they get your contact information for coordination.
If you're a company, you see candidate profiles and applications for your roles. You also get contact information for candidates you're actively trialing.
We use a handful of services to run TryMe:
These services only get what they need to do their job. They can't use your data for their own purposes.
If we get a valid legal request (court order, subpoena), we may have to share your information. We'll tell you if we can.
We don't sell your data. We don't share your info with advertisers. We don't let random third parties access your information.
We use cookies for:
We don't use cookies to track you around the internet or serve you targeted ads. Most browsers let you disable cookies if you want, but some parts of TryMe won't work properly without them.
Want to know what we have on you? Email us and we'll send you a copy.
If something's wrong, you can update most of it in your account settings. For anything else, contact us.
You can delete your account from your settings. We'll delete your personal information, though we may keep some records for legal and business purposes (like transaction history for tax records).
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You'll still get emails about your applications and trials—those aren't optional.
We use encryption for data in transit and at rest. We limit who on our team can access your data. We don't store credit card numbers—Stripe handles that.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever have a breach that affects you, we'll let you know.
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, though we may retain some data for legal compliance (like tax records for completed payments).
Trial records and reviews are retained even after account deletion since they involve multiple parties and may be needed for dispute resolution.
TryMe isn't for people under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent and think your kid signed up, let us know and we'll delete the account.
We might update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. For big changes, we'll email you. Keep using TryMe after changes means you accept them.
